What is Perupp?

PERUPP is a research-based application concept that uses generative AI to customize and optimize the visitor experience in Värmland. By answering a few simple questions about their interests, users receive a personalized and adaptable itinerary. The project focus centers on developing an intuitive user interface for an existing back-office solution.

How does perupp work?

Users complete a short questionnaire focusing on personal interests rather than specific destinations. The AI engine then matches their answers against both open and unique regional databases. This overcomes the geographic gaps in local information often found in global AI services, resulting in a highly accurate, tailored travel guide.

Who will use perupp?

The primary target audience consists of national and international cultural tourists looking to discover the region. While they appreciate simplicity and clear guidance, they have limited experience with AI tools. The design challenge lies in hiding the underlying technical complexity to create a visual experience that feels like an inspiring, digital local guide.
